Behind the Scenes: The Making of 26 Seconds
Writing “26 Seconds” was a labor of love seventeen years in the making. 
Yes, there was a lot of writing — but what you don’t see are the countless hours behind the curtain: the editing and re‑editing, the revising, the classes, the writers’ retreats, the moments of inspiration, and the moments of staring into space wondering if this dream would ever take flight. 
There were seasons of writer’s block. Seasons of imposter syndrome. Seasons where I shelved the project entirely. I changed the title along the way. I rewrote chapters I thought were finished. And then I rewrote them again. Did I mention the editing? 
Somewhere along the way, I learned to trust the messy process — the twists, the detours, the unexpected breakthroughs. Looking back now, I wouldn’t change a single thing. Every struggle, every pause, every revision shaped the book into what it needed to become in order for it to finally take off and soar.
