Wow… talk about being MIA. At the start of this year, I promised myself I’d return to writing and show up more consistently here on my website. Clearly, that didn’t happen. So—deep breath—let’s try this again.
And while this isn’t an excuse, it is the truth: I’ve spent the last few months on an incredible book tour. It’s been a whirlwind of conversations, travel, reflection, and connection. I’ll be sharing some of those moments here on the blog, and I may even experiment with new ways of communicating, so stay tuned.
Since I’ve been away for a while, and since I’ve met so many wonderful new friends along the way, let me reintroduce myself. I’m an engineer, a speaker, an advocate, and an author. I’ve devoted my career to public service, beginning as a technical expert and working my way toward becoming a leader in public policy and infrastructure.
What I never expected was that a personal tragedy would redirect my life’s work and call me to use decades of experience for something even greater. That journey has reshaped me, and I hope you’ll follow along as it continues to unfold.
I’ll leave you with a recent reflection on my memoir that captures the heart of this path:
“Memoirs concerning the death of a loved one are hardly unique. D’Antonio’s story, however, is not only deeply moving, but details her process of investigating the plane crash that claimed her brother’s life. The result is an expose of the airline industry as well as an intimate meditation on grief.”

Here’s to new chapters, renewed purpose, and showing up, fully and honestly.
